The village of Loccum (about 3000 inhabitants) is part of the small rural town Rehburg-Loccum. It is situated about 50 kilometers west of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, and about 10 kilometers west of the "Steinhuder Meer", the biggest lake of northwestern Germany. Loccum is also famous for its medieval Cistercian monastery.

From West: Motorway Dortmund-Bielefeld-Hannover; exit "Porta Westfalica/Minden";
B 482 Minden-Nienburg, after 35 kms turn right at junction for Loccum.
From South/East: Motorway Frankfurt-Kassel-Hannover; at junction Hannover-Ost direction Dortmund; exit "Wunstorf-Luthe"; B 441 direction Stolzenau.
From North: Motorway Hamburg-Hannover; exit "Schwarmstedt"; B 214 to Steimbke, then via Linsburg, Husum, Rehburg to Loccum.
Or: Bremen - B 6 - Nienburg-Loccum.
The entrance to the academy campus is on the B 441.
By Train
From West: via Bielefeld (ICE-Station) to Minden or Stadthagen (only Taxi to the Academy)
From South, East, North: via Hannover (ICE-Station) to Wunstorf
